James McDougal of Edinburgh (pictured), current
age 19, claimed at age 15 to remember being a rice farmer from the Tamil
Nadu village of Tannil named Anurag Sankar. This is a very interesting
case in that the past life memories became manifest at adolescence
(similar to Evan Michaels account) as opposed to most past life cases
where children recount past memories as soon as they are able to speak.
Mr. McDougal reached out to us directly to
assist in verifying his memories as Anurag Sankar. We researched
records from the village and found detail of a single man named Anurag
Shankar, who died a most violent death in 1988, being stabbed in the
neck by his younger brother Sunil. Our researchers were able to
find Anurag's home based on James McDougal's description, though the
Shankar family no longer lived there.
Another interesting feature of this case is the
distinctive birthmark on the neck of Mr. McDougal. Similar to and
consistent with the famous birthmark & past life research of our beloved
colleague Dr. Ian Stevenson of University of Virginia, Mr. McDougal has
a distinctive birthmark on his neck consistent with the late Anurag
Shankar's mortal injury.
Mr. McDougal was able to successfully identify
Sunil Shankar, Anurag's murderer, from a series of 20 photographs [of
Tamil Nadu prison inmates]. |
